• Feb. 16 - New! Only 12th graders attend. No school for 9th, 10th and 11th graders.

News and Reminders:

• The Subway restaurant at 52nd and Wadsworth will donate 20% of sales on Jan. 25 between 5:00 and 9:00 pm to our PTSA. Stop by to get some food and help out our school! (Flyer)

• Plan to join us on Feb. 7 for our Community Love of Reading Night. This will be a family night of fun and learning from 5:00 to 5:45 pm with pizza and fun to follow. Your family can meet five different guest authors and get free signed books, literacy resources and more!

• Please make note of some important calendar updates for February:

  • Parent-Teacher conferences were originally planned for February 16, but have been moved to Feb. 15. The time remains the same: 4:00-7:00 pm.

  • On February 16, there will be no school for 9th, 10th and 11th graders. 12th graders will attend to present their capstone projects on that day.

Gifted & Talented Center:

• Have you experienced that the typical strategies that work for neurotypical children often do not work in the same way for gifted and twice-exceptional children? The Jefferson County Association for Gifted Children and ADDitude Magazine are two resources that provide invaluable leadership and support for raising up healthy differently-wired children. Check out this week's GT Newsletter to learn more about these two resources and how to get involved!

• Also, remember to set some time aside tomorrow (Wednesday), 1/25, for Jeffco's GT Parent/Family Learning Event! Go to the event webpage to learn more and rsvp.

• Wondering what's up with graduation and senior events? Check the Class of 2023 page on the AHS website where all relevant information is collected.

Health Information:

• Case counts of flu, COVID, RSV and other illnesses are rising. These guidelines can help you determine if your student is too sick to come to school. (Spanish version)
